Creativity & Imagination… through Stories & Music

 Trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama & the National Opera Studio London as a professional opera singer, Mark has sung numerous title roles for the national and international opera companies. As well as his performing Mark has delivered education projects for over 25 years for children around the world of all ages and abilities, he has consulted for companies such as Welsh National opera, mentored for Big Ideas Wales, a Welsh Government initiative encouraging entrepreneurial skills throughout Wales as well as a vocal consultant for educational establishments in the private & public sectors.

Mark has always believed that the performing arts are crucial in developing our young learners into confident, successful adults and so in 2016 he set up his unique education program ABC of Opera. During the last 18 months ABC of Opera has delivered over 100 workshops to schools across Wales as well as the first family introduction to Opera for BBC Cardiff singer of the World.

Children love story telling, singing and of course dressing up; all these simple but crucial things ignite our children’s imaginations. The results are universal, they speak for themselves.

What should you expect from your workshop?

Warm ups – both physical and vocal | Exploring creativity with props | Tales and Nursery Rhymes | Songs  

Learning should always be a fun, explorative journey, and this is key to the success of this project. Our workshops provide opportunities for children to express themselves and to develop their inquisitiveness and creativity, making them truly remarkable. This is the start of an exciting journey for both staff and child.
